Acerca de este programa

Microduck is a tiny bipedal robot — about 25 cm and 800 g — that walks, rolls, picks things up, and stands itself back up using reinforcement-learning policies. Fifteen servos are driven by neural policies at 50 Hz on an onboard Rockchip RK3566, alongside the radios, a camera (streamed over WebRTC), and a depth sensor.

Pick up a gamepad and drive it; put wheels on and it loads a different "brain"; knock it over and it gets back up. It also sits, kicks a ball, and quacks in a voice of its own.

The walking policies are trained next door in microduck_rl — MuJoCo + PPO, sim-to-real, exported to ONNX. The robot’s software (the 50 Hz control loop, the motor bus, the radios, and the fail-safe update machinery) is a single Rust workspace, fully open source.

Heads up: Microduck is a commercial product from Pollen Robotics. Its print files and bill of materials are not published — so this page is an entry point to the open-source software, not a build-it-yourself guide. If you want the robot itself, get one at pollen-robotics.com/microduck.
