Über dieses Programm

OpenWeedLocator (OWL) is an open-source, low-cost weed detection system built on the Raspberry Pi. It uses green-detection computer vision algorithms (green-on-brown and green-on-green) to identify weeds in real time and trigger relay-controlled solenoids for spot spraying — enabling precision weed control without expensive proprietary hardware. Built entirely from off-the-shelf components and 3D-printable parts, OWL supports single-unit bicycle mounts, multi-unit 4–16m sprayer booms, and robot-mounted configurations. Published in Scientific Reports (2022) and Computers and Electronics in Agriculture (2023).
