Lynxmotion (owned by RobotShop) has been building modular servo-driven robot kits since 1995: AL5 arms, Phoenix hexapods, mechDOG quadrapeds, and the SES-V2 bolt-together frame system with ROS2 support. Their SES-PRO smart servo system is a modern take on the original Erector-set-for-robots vision.
